Daniel Gafford came off the bench and scored nine points (4-5 FG, 1-1 FT), grabbed two boards, dished one assist, and blocked on shot over 25 minutes in Monday's 109-107 win over the Mavericks.
With Wendell Carter Jr. healthy and back in the starting lineup, Gafford has spent the last two games coming off of the bench. The second-round rookie has been a nice surprise this season, averaging 7.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks over his last 10 games. Unfortunately that won't translate to many wins in fantasy, but he will assuredly go into the offseason with a sleeper tag for next year.
Daniel Gafford totaled seven points (2-2 FG, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, two steals, two blocks and an assist over 25 minutes in the Bulls’ 112-104 loss to the Suns on Saturday.
Gafford made his first start since Jan. 15 and provided solid (if unspectacular) work on both ends of the court. He's a borderline starter in 12-team leagues, but his fantasy value is waning quickly, with Wendell Carter Jr. likely to return soon.
Daniel Gafford was listed as probable for Tuesday’s game in Washington but never left the bench in the Bulls 126-114 loss to the Wizards.
Coach Jim Boylen continues to play games with the Bulls’ injury reports listing Gafford as probable and mentioning that he was available to play Tuesday night. Gafford may also not be completely 100 percent healthy, but we may never know. Gafford should be back on the court after the break, but is currently tough to endorse for fantasy purposes with the possible return of Wendell Carter Jr. and the constant confusion of the Bulls’ injury reports and playing time.
Daniel Gafford (ankle) is probable for Tuesday's matchup against the Wizards and expected to play.
Gafford was filling nicely at the center and power forward positions after injuries to Lauri Markkanen and Wendell Carter Jr. but he injured his ankle last Sunday and has missed the last two games recovering. Prior to the injury he was averaging 22.2 minutes over his last five games. His ability to block shots and snare rebounds makes him a solid DFS target if he's able to suit up tonight.
Daniel Gafford (ankle) is doubtful for Thursday's game against the Pelicans.
Gafford (thumb) returned in Sunday's loss to the Raptors, and rolled his ankle in his return. He is listed as doubtful for Thursday's contest against the Pelicans and is not expected to play. Look for Luke Kornet to see an expanded role if Gafford is ruled out.
