Cooper Flagg etched his name into the NBA record books during Monday's 140-133 overtime loss to the Jazz, becoming the youngest player in league history to score 40 points in a game. At just 18 years old—days shy of his 19th birthday—the rookie sensation poured in a career-high 42 points.
Fantasy Impact:
Flagg was aggressive all night, shooting 13-of-27 from the field and earning 20 trips to the free-throw line, converting 15 of them. He showcased his all-around game by adding seven rebounds, six assists, two blocks, and a steal. Despite the historic individual effort, the Mavericks fell short in overtime. Flagg will look to build on this milestone performance when Dallas takes on the Pistons on Thursday.
