Cooper Flagg wins Rookie of the Year award

Cooper Flagg has won the 2025-26 NBA Rookie of the Year award.

Fantasy Impact

It was a tight contest between the former Duke teammates in Flagg and Kon Knueppel. After Flagg missed time due to an injury, Knueppel was the favorite at point but Flagg returned late in the season to ultimately take the award. He should only improve heading into his second season.

Cooper Flagg posts double-double in loss

Flagg went 4-of-19 from the field Wednesday but still found ways to contribute — 11 points (4-of-19 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), 12 rebounds, six assists, one steal, and one block in the loss to the Suns. He was the only Dallas player to collect double-digit rebounds.

Fantasy Impact

A double-double with six assists on a night he shot under 25 percent is the kind of stat-line resilience that defines his value — the scoring will come and go, but the contributions elsewhere keep him relevant regardless.
