Donovan Clingan records third straight double-double with 17 boards
by Bruno Mulé | Trail Blazers Correspondent | Tue, Jan 6th 10:48am EST
Donovan Clingan controlled the glass from the opening tip Monday, entering halftime with a double-double already in hand and finishing with 12 points (5-of-9 FGs), 17 rebounds, three blocks, two assists, and two three-pointers in Portland's rout of the Jazz. The performance marks his third consecutive double-double and fifth in his last six games.
Fantasy Impact:
The most intriguing development has been Clingan's perimeter shooting. After connecting on just 14 triples during his entire rookie season, he's drained five over his last two games and 12 over his last seven. While he doesn't need to transform into a true stretch five, his ability to space the floor is opening up Portland's offense in new ways.
