Portland Trail Blazers

Western Northwest

Carmelo Anthony supplied 21 points (9-16 FG, 2-3 3PT, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks over 32 minutes of play Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact: Anthony had a nice bounce-back after struggling in the previous two games. He remains a hit-or-miss fantasy option that should be at least owned in most leagues.

Category: Game Recaps

Hassan Whiteside totaled 16 points (8-12 FG, 0-1 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist, two blocks, and one steal over 36 minutes of play Tuesday night.

Fantasy Impact: Whiteside continues to be a rebounding machine while also putting up enough points to register a double-double on most nights. He also has the shot-blocking ability to give him a massive fantasy ceiling. He should be owned and played in all fantasy formats.

Category: Game Recaps

CJ McCollum supplied 22 points (9-20 FG, 2-6 3PT, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block, over 36 minutes of play Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact: While still an effective fantasy player, McCollum has seen his production drop since Damian Lillard's return. He averaged 33.3 points and 8.3 assists in the six games Lillard missed, compared to 22.0 points and 5.8 assists since Lillard's return. Even so, he's a must-own fantasy player in all leagues.

Trevor Ariza scored 22 points on 7-for-12 shooting with six rebounds, five three-pointers, a steal and a block in 37 minutes of Tuesday's 121-105 win over the Suns.

Fantasy Impact: Ariza had a season high in points on Tuesday. The veteran forward is averaging 12.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals over 35.5 minutes over his last 10 games since the All-Star break. Ariza is worth adding in all 12-14 team leagues and deeper if he his on the waiver wire.

Damian Lillard scored 25 points on 8-for-17 shooting with five three pointers, five rebounds, seven assists, three steals, two blocks and just two turnovers in 40 minutes of Tuesday's 121-105 win over the Suns.

Fantasy Impact: In the four game since coming back from a groin injury that caused him to miss six games, Lillard is averaging 20.8 points, 6.0 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals. The All-Star guard should start to heat up again and remains a must-own in all fantasy leagues.

Nassir Little scored four points on 2-for-4 shooting with one assist and one steal over six minutes on Saturday as the Blazers lost to the Kings by a 123-111 score.

Fantasy Impact: Little has struggled to find consistent playing time in his rookie season with the Blazers. Over 47 games this season, Little is averaging 3.6 points and 2.3 rebounds and is not worth owning in fantasy.

Category: Game Recaps

Wenyen Gabriel scored eight points on 3-for-5 shooting with five rebounds, two steals and one three-pointer over 15 minutes as the Blazers lost to the Kings.

Fantasy Impact: Since being acquired by the Blazers in January the rookie forward is averaging 2.6 points and 2.3 rebounds over 16 games. Gabriel is not seeing enough playing time to be worth owning in fantasy.

Category: Game Recaps

Gary Trent Jr. scored 14 points on 5-for-9 shooting with two three-pointers over 22 minutes as the Blazers lost to the Kings on Saturday night.

Fantasy Impact: Trent has seen his role decreased with Damian Lillard back from his groin injury. Over the last three games, Trent is averaging 8.3 points and 2.0 rebounds and should only be owned in deeper fantasy leagues.

Category: Game Recaps

Mario Hezonja scored 16 points on 7-for-11 shooting with three rebounds, two three-pointers, one assist and one steal over 23 minutes as the Blazers lost to the Kings on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact: Hezonja had been dealing with an ankle injury but seems to be healthy now and over his last five games is averaging 8.0 points and 3.4 rebounds over 18 minutes. Hezonja is only worth grabbing in deeper fantasy leagues by owners.

Category: Game Recaps

Anfernee Simons scored six points on 3-for-8 shooting with two rebounds, one assist and one steal over 19 minutes as the Blazers lost to the Kings on Saturday night.

Fantasy Impact: Simons continues to play a bench role for the Blazers and over nine games since the All-Star break is averaging 7.2 points and 1.3 assists over 18 minutes. Simons can be left on the waiver wire.

Jusuf Nurkic (leg) told reporters that he will make his season debut on Sunday, March 15 when the Trailblazers take on the Rockets in Portland. (Source: Chris Haynes on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Great news for Nurkic and the Trailblazers! It’s been almost a year since he suffered the gruesome leg injury, and Nurkic and the medical staff feel like he’s ready to return the court. Our assumption is Nurkic will be eased back into the rotation, playing in short bursts of time for the first couple weeks back. He’ll play the backup center position to Hassan Whiteside, who’s had an incredible season, taking full advantage of his opportunity with Nurkic on the sidelines. We wouldn’t rush to grab him at this juncture, but Nurkic is worth keeping an eye on to see if he can play 20+ minutes per game and produce like he’s done in seasons prior.

Caleb Swanigan scored six points on 3-for-4 shooting with five rebounds and one assist over 13 minutes as the Blazers lost to the Pacers on Thursday by a 106-100 score.

Fantasy Impact: Over 14 games since being traded to the Blazers by the Kings, Swanigan is averaging 3.9 points and 5.3 rebounds over 14.7 minutes. The 22-year old forward is not seeing enough playing time to worth picking up by fantasy owners.

Kent Bazemore (trade pending) is not eligible for Monday's game against the Heat. (Source:

Fantasy Impact: The Kings and Trail Blazers have not finalized their trade on Saturday, making Bazemore and Anthony Tolliver ineligible to play. Once the trade is finalized, Bazemore will be able to make his Kings debut. Sacramento's next scheduled game is Wednesday against the Pistons.

Portland is trading Anthony Tolliver to Sacramento, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski)

Fantasy Impact: The Blazers are looking to trim salary and traded Kent Bazemore and Tolliver which helped save $12.3 million on the deal. Tolliver has had a small role with Portland this year and does not look like he will get much playing time with Sacramento and can be left on the waiver wire.
