Western Northwest

Free agent C Jusuf Nurkic has agreed on a new four-year, $70 million deal to stay with the Portland Trail Blazers. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Nurkic missed the last portion of last season due to a foot injury. He averaged a double-double in the 56 games he played in prior to the injury. It is clear with the Blazers offseason additions that they are still trying to win now around Damian Lillard and Nurkic should remain a big part of the team.

Ben McLemore contributed 14 points (5-8 FG, 3-6 3PT, 1-3 FT), three assists and threee steals across 31 minutes off the bench in a 128-78 loss to Dallas.

Fantasy Impact: Ben McLemore tied Spencer Dinwiddie for game high off the bench Friday night with his 14 points. McLemore's three steals was a game high for either team. The Kansas product has been an excellent source of points and three pointers off the bench, having scored 11+ in 12 of the last 13 games. During that same stretch, McLemore is averaging 16.4 points and 3.4 three pointers.

Keon Johnson contributed 10 points (3-13 FG, 0-4 3PT, 4-4 FT),six assists and one steal across 30 minutes in a 128-78 loss to Dallas.

Fantasy Impact: Keon Johnson scored 10 points and flirted with a double-double, dishing out six assists, in a game where his team only scored 78 points and lost by 50. Johnson reached double figures in scoring for the seventh time in his last nine games. He can contribute in all categories and can be a value asset in DFS tournaments, especially nights he's more efficient shooting.

Drew Eubanks led Portland in scoring with 18 points (8-14 FG, 0-1 3PT, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds and one steal across 32 minutes in a 128-78 loss to Dallas.

Fantasy Impact: Euabnks led the team in scoring for the second straight night with 18 points on Friday but it was not nearly enough in a game Portland lost by 50. There is not a lot to cheer about on the Trail Blazers right now but Eubanks remains a bright spot on a team rebuilding on the fly and awaiting the return of Dame Lillard. Eubanks is averaging 14.3 points and 8.5 rebounds in 21 games since being acquired by Portland in February.

According to Casey Holdahl, Kris Dunn (ankle) has been ruled out Friday vs. Dallas. (Source: Casey Holdahl)

Fantasy Impact: Dunn will miss Friday's game against the Mavericks as he deals with an ankle injury. With Brandon Williams also dealing with an injury, the Blazers are a bit thin at the guard position which could lead to more playing time for Didi Louzada.

Reggie Perry recorded 15 points (7-10 FG, 0-1 3PT, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, one assist, four steals, and two blocks in 22 minutes off the bench in Thursday's blowout loss to the Pelicans.

Fantasy Impact: Perry had a very solid all-around performance in only 22 minutes. The Mississippi State product is averaging 17.4 minutes, 10.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 0.8 blocks in his last five games. Unfortunately, Perry is not seeing enough minutes and remains a depth piece on a struggling Blazers squad. The 22-year-old will look to continue to make his case for more minutes when the Trail Blazers visit the Mavericks on Friday.

CJ Elleby recorded 17 points (7-11 FG, 2-5 3PT, 1-2 FT) and two rebounds in 31 minutes in Thursday's blowout loss to the Pelicans.

Fantasy Impact: Elleby made the most of his opportunities setting a new career-high in points. The Washington State product has now logged at least 20 minutes in 28 consecutive games. Keep tabs on the young guards' production moving forward to see if his production can begin to warrant any fantasy consideration. The 21-year-old will look to build off his career-high performance when the Trail Blazers visit the Mavericks on Friday.

Trail Blazers G Brandon Williams is available for Thursday's game against New Orleans as reported by Trail Blazers studio host Jamie Hudson. (Source: Jamie Hudson on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Brandon Williams will return to action after missing Tuesday's game with a left quad contusion but he will return on a minutes restriction. Kris Dunn will once again start, but Williams will play limited minutes off the bench. Best to avoid at least until his minutes restriction is lifted.

Trendon Watford (knee) will miss Friday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. (Source: NBA Injury Report)

Fantasy Impact: Watford is dealing with a bone issue in his knee that will leave him sidelined for Friday's game. It isn't clear if and when he will return, and his absence won't offer any clear opportunities for players to step up on a tanking Blazers team.

Justise Winslow (calf) will be unavailable to play in Friday's contest against the San Antonio Spurs. (Source: NBA Injury Report)

Fantasy Impact: Winslow is dealing with a calf injury that has left him sidelined a lot recently, but the team looks to be in full tanking mode. It's becoming increasingly clear that they don't intend to bring many players back from injury before the end of this season, and that likely applies to Winslow too. He is easily droppable in every fantasy league.

Trail Blazers F Greg Brown III is probable to play in Wednesday’s game against New Orleans, Casey Holdahl reports. (Source: Casey Holdahl on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Brown has been upgraded to probable after missing one game with a left coronial abrasion. He is seeing 20-25 minutes in the current Portland rotation including a 27 minute, 14 rebound eruption in March 23. He shouldn’t have any minute restrictions.

Trail Blazers G Eric Bledsoe will be shut down for the remainder of the season according to ESPN's Senior NBA Writer Marc J. Spears. (Source: Marc J. Spears on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Bledsoe received a platelet rich plasma injection in his left Achilles' tendon last week but the injury did not respond the way the team had hoped. Bledsoe averaged 9.9 points, 4.2 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 54 games with the Clippers this season but never saw the court as a Trail Blazer despite coming over at the trade deadline.

Trail Blazers G Josh Hart's left knee will be reevaluated in a week according to ESPN's Senior NBA Writer Marc J. Spears. (Source: Marc J. Spears on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Hart will have the patellar tendinopathy in his left knee reevaluated in one week. Teammate Anfernee Simons has been shut down for the rest of the season with the same injury so Hart's status for the rest of the season on the 27-47 Trail Blazers is very much in the air. CJ Elleby should see increased minutes while Hart is out.

According to Blazers reporter Casey Holdahl, Elijah Hughes has been ruled out Saturday (Source: Casey Holdahl)

Fantasy Impact: Both Greg Brown and Elijah Hughes has been ruled out Saturday have been ruled out late Saturday for the Blazers. With such a short-handed rotation, the Blazers will shift to Brandon Williams, Keon Johnson, and Keljin Blevins to see more rotation minutes.

According to the Trail Blazers PR Department, Joe Ingles underwent successful ACL surgery on Wednesday. (Source: Trail Blazers PR Department)

Fantasy Impact: Ingles suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament early in January. Shortly after the announcement, the Jazz sent the veteran to the Blazers in a package for Nickeil Alexander-Walker. The veteran heads to free agency this offseason and his timeline for recovery is unclear.

Dennis Smith Jr, who has been dealing with an elbow injury, has been waived by the Trailblazers. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: DSJ has played well in limited time for the Blazers this year, averaging a fantasy point per minute, but has not gotten many opportunities, due to the emergence of Anfernee Simons. Teams will have until Wednesday to claim Smith Jr, at which time he will become an unrestricted free agent.

The Utah Jazz are acquiring guard Portland’s Nickeil Alexander-Walker and the Spurs’ Juancho Hernangomez in a three-way deal, sources tell ESPN. The Spurs gets guard Tomas Satoransky and a second-round pick, and the Blazers get Joe Ingles, Elijah Hughes and a second-round pick. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: After being traded to Portland the other day, Satoransky is on the move again as he heads to San Antonio. He has only appeared in two games since the turn of the new year with the Pelicans and now joins a crowded Spurs back court led by Dejounte Murray and Derrick White. It is unlikely he will hold any fantasy basketball value the rest of the season.

Per Adrian Wojnarowski, Nickeil Alexander-Walker has been traded to the Utah Jazz in a 3-way deal that sends, Alexander-Walker and Juancho Hernangomez to Utah, Tomas Satoransky and a 2nd (via Utah) to San Antonio, and Joe Ingles, Elijah Hughes, and a 2nd round pick (via Utah) to Portland. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Just a day after getting traded from New Orleans in the CJ McCollum deal, the 3rd year man out of Virginia Tech will get an opportunity to play for a contender. With Joe Ingles, who was flipped in the deal, out for the year, the Jazz will have a void on the wing and I think Alexander-Walker will have a big role in filling that.
