Anthony Edwards drops 26 points in blowout

by Bruno Mulé | Timberwolves Correspondent | Wed, Jan 7th 10:05am EST

Anthony Edwards caught fire from distance Tuesday, connecting on 5-of-8 from beyond the arc while finishing with 26 points (8-of-18 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), five rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and one steal in just 29 minutes as Minnesota crushed Miami 122-94. The 24-year-old's hot shooting helped him pour in 16 first-half points as the Timberwolves built an early advantage that ballooned to nearly 30 by the midpoint of the fourth quarter.

Fantasy Impact:

The lopsided nature of Minnesota's second win over Miami in three days, combined with a couple early fouls, limited Edwards' minutes and kept him from an even bigger scoring night. He's putting together a phenomenal campaign, averaging 29.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.4 steals, and 0.8 blocks through 30 games.
