Kon Knueppel breaks NBA record Saturday night
by David Leisering | Hornets Correspondent | Sun, Feb 8th 4:04pm EST
Kon Knueppel scored 23 points (8-15 FG, 6-11 3PT, 1-1 FT) and added eight rebounds, four assists, and a block in Charlotte's seven-point win over Atlanta on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact:
Knueppel added to an impressive shooting resume by breaking the record for most games with at least five triples in a rookie season with 14. He has already become the fastest player to 50 threes (15 games), 100 threes (29 games), and broke the Hornets' rookie record for three-pointers in a game with eight. Knueppel is averaging 18.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists, and has scored at least 10 points in 34 consecutive games. It appears to be a two-man race for NBA Rookie of the Year - Knueppel and Cooper Flagg.
