Jeremy Sochan should have role with Knicks early on

New York Knicks head coach Mike Brown said on Wednesday that he wants to see what the team has in Jeremy Sochan and plans to use him before the playoffs. (James L. Edwards III on Twitter)

Sochan signed with the Knicks after clearing waivers, and it sounds like Brown will not wait long to evaluate what he can bring. Brown said he wants to see how Sochan fits and how his defensive versatility can be utilized. Sochan is expected to cut into Mohamed Diawara’s minutes. While he should step into a role right away, he is best left on waivers until his workload with his new club becomes clearer. The Knicks face the Detroit Pistons on Thursday.
