Kawhi Leonard will not face a suspension as the NBA concludes their year long probe into salary cap circumvention. The Clippers owner Steve Balmer is suspended for a year, and the team will forfeit their first round picks in 2029, 30, 31, 32, and 2033. (Shams Charania on X)
Fantasy Impact:
On the bright side, at least for fantasy, Kawhi will not face suspension following the Aspiration dealings. So it’s likely that his trade to Toronto will go through. Wherever he ends up, he’s going to be just fine for fantasy. It is a big blow to the Clippers, however, who have lost a mighty amount of draft capital and flexibility in making trades to set up their future.
