Ray Allen officially retires from the NBA

Ray Allen, a future Hall of Fame inductee, officially retired from the NBA today. Allen last played for the Miami Heat in 2013-2014 while also playing for the Bucks, Super Sonics and Celtics in his 18 year career. Allen was a 10-time All Star who won two NBA Championships (Boston 08' and Heat 13'). He is the NBA's all time leader in three pointers made with 2,973 which is 413 more than anyone to date. Allen finished his career averaging 18.9 PPG and 89.4 % from the free throw line which is seventh all-time. (The Players Tribune)

Fantasy Impact:

Even at age 41, there were rumblings that he could make a return to a contending team but it never happened. Allen was a fantasy basketball superstar for years.
