This will be the seventh straight missed game for Nesmith but Raptors coach Ime Udoka says he’s “getting close” to returning. There appears to be a good chance Nesmith makes his return Monday night in Oklahoma City.

During 3/3's game against the Grizzlies, Nesmith suffered a hard fall going up to block a shot. Since that point, the 22-year-old has missed two straight games and will miss a third with an ailing ankle injury. His minimal minutes in the rotation will continue to go to Payton Pritchard and Daniel Theis.

During the first quarter of the Celtics game, Nesmith went up to attempt a block and came down awkwardly on his ankle. The second-year pro headed to the locker room in severe pain and is questionable to return. Luke Kornet and Payton Pritchard should see elevated minutes with the Celtics having Brown and Nesmith out.
