Goodwin is very hit and miss when it comes to fantasy value as he doesn't contribute much when the Cavaliers have a healthy team but Thursday night was another opportunity where he was able to provide value at a discount in DFS. The guard led the bench in scoring and did it on a rather efficient 50% shooting percentage.

Fantasy Impact

Goodwin also committed five turnovers. He continues to see the start in the Cleveland back court with Darius Garland (back) sidelined. If Garland remains sidelined moving forward, Goodwin can be a sneaky cheap DFS play with some scoring upside. He doesn't hold too much value yet in season long leagues.

He will likely go back to holding no real value from a fantasy basketball perspective for the most part though the opportunity could still be there as long as Darius Garland (back) remains sidelined.

Goodwin efficiently dropped 17 points in tonight's win over the Heat, with Trae Young and Clint Capela sidelined. He should be capable of consistently generating double-digit scoring outings while Young is likely out of action for the rest of the fantasy playoffs. Goodwin will have a date with Milwaukee on Sunday night.
