The Atlanta Hawks converted Caleb Houstan's two-way contract into a standard deal on Wednesday.

Houstan has been limited to just 10 games with the Hawks this season, averaging 4.9 minutes per game. However, he’s been fantastic in the G-League, averaging 15.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc.

The Orlando Magic declined their $2.1 million team option on Caleb Houstan's contract Sunday.

Houstan is set to become an unrestricted free agent after the Magic declined his team option. Despite the declined option, the Magic retain his Bird rights, allowing them to exceed the salary cap to re-sign him if they choose. He appeared in 58 games last season, including six starts, averaging 4.1 points and 1.3 rebounds in 13.6 minutes per game.

Caleb Houstan totaled zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3PT, 0-0 FT), two rebounds, and no other stats in the Magic's 109-97 win over the Wizards.

Houstan continues to play a minimal role in Orlando’s rotation, and that’s unlikely to change in the final days of the fantasy season. While he’s shown flashes of long-range ability in previous outings, Thursday’s line reaffirms his current status: a deep-bench contributor with no streaming value in Championship Week. Managers should keep him off the radar unless a major shift in opportunity emerges next year.
