Spencer has scored 16 points in two of his last three games, including Monday’s win over Minnesota off the bench. With Ty Jerome back in the lineup and starting, Spencer has moved to a reserve role and will likely see his minutes dip further once Ja Morant (elbow) returns. However, if Morant is moved by Thursday's deadline, Spencer’s playing time should settle into the low 20s as Jerome’s minutes restriction continues to ease.
Spencer set a career-high with 14 assists in Monday's defeat to Houston while adding five points on 1-of-5 shooting, five rebounds, one steal and one block. He went a perfect 3-for-3 from the free-throw line and committed three turnovers.

The assist total represented Spencer's most productive playmaking performance as Memphis continues to play without starting point guard Ja Morant.

Cam Spencer recorded his first double-double of January in Sunday's 103-98 win over the Brooklyn Nets, finishing with 12 points (3-7 FG, 1-3 3PT, 5-5 FT), four rebounds and 13 assists.

Spencer continues to take advantage of Ja Morant (calf) being sidelined, averaging 13.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 9.3 assists and one steal in 29.2 minutes over his last four games. As long as Morant remains out, he is a viable streaming option.
