Douglas-Roberts was waived Friday morning by the Pelicans.
Fantasy Impact
He was, at best, a low-end spot play due to all of the injuries on New Orleans. Douglas-Roberts will probably not make much of a fantasy impact this year if he is picked up by another team.
So far this preseason, Douglas-Roberts has averaged just under 20 minutes of playing time per game. In that span, he is also averaging seven points, 1.4 steals, .8 rebounds, one assist, and one turnover.
Fantasy Impact
Douglas-Roberts would typically be an irrelevant fantasy player for standard sized leagues but due to all of the injuries New Orleans has had to endure over the past month and beyond, he may see some more court time early in the regular season. The guard won't demand a draft pick but should be monitored early on.
Chris Douglas-Roberts has been sent to Boston as part of Thursday's three-team deal with Austin Rivers going to the Clippers.
Fantasy Impact
Swingman Chris Douglas-Roberts could not get playing time on the Clippers, a team desperate for small forward depth. Look for Douglas-Roberts to be stuck deep on the bench or could even be waived. He is not fantasy relevant in any league.
