F - POR - OUT
Blazers forward Cody Zeller has entered NBA health and safety protocols.
Another blow for Zeller and the Blazers, as he was preparing to be re-evaluated for his right patella fracture. With Jusuf Nurkic also entering health and safety protocols, Larry Nance Jr. is worth adding.
Cody Zeller registered 15 points (7-9 FG, 1-2 FT) with 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals, a block, and two turnovers across 29 minutes during Tuesday's 117-112 loss to the Denver Nuggets.
Zeller shot 77 FG% across 29 minutes off the bench, collecting 10 boards and forcing two steals. He held his own in the paint against Nikola Jokic at times and is a solid floor play in DFS contests when the Hornets host the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.
Cody Zeller registered six points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3PT, 6-6 FT) with nine rebounds, two assists, and three turnovers across 16 minutes during Sunday's 105-101 loss to the Atlanta Hawks.
Zeller was held to just 16 minutes off the bench but managed to grab nine boards and dish two assists during an otherwise poor offensive performance. The seven-footer did convert all six of his attempts at the free-throw line to contribute a few points. Fantasy managers can add Zeller as depth behind their starting Center but should only insert him into starting lineups out of desperation based on a recent decrease in minutes and opportunity.
Charlotte Hornets C Cody Zeller scored 17 points (7-7 FG, 3-5 FT) with four rebounds, an assist, and a steal across 28 minutes during Friday's 114-97 win over the Indiana Pacers.
Zeller is another Hornet who produced off the bench against the Pacers on Friday, shooting 100 percent from the field. The seven-footer managed to collect a few boards while dishing an assist and forcing a steal in addition to his great shooting performance. Fantasy managers should not drop Zeller due to Bismack Biyombo being deployed in recent starting lineups, as Zeller ended up doubling the number of minutes and saw more opportunities on the offensive end during Friday's win.
Charlotte Hornets C Cody Zeller scored 16 points (7-13 FG, 0-1 3PT, 2-3 FT) with 13 rebounds, two assists, and a turnover across 24 minutes during Tuesday's 114-104 win over the Washington Wizards.
Zeller came off the bench and produced a 16 point double-double against a Wizards team that ranks 30th in points allowed per game. Fantasy managers should roster Zeller for his activity on the glass and his ability to knock down mid-range shots while dominating the post. Although Charlotte relies heavily on their backcourt to score, the perimeter shooting spreads the floor to allow Zeller great opportunity near the rim. The Hornets get a day off before traveling north to play the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night.
