Cody Zeller sports points in the double figures on Wednesday

In a 100-86 loss to Denver, Charlotte's Cody Zeller scored 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-2 FT), blocked two shots, grabbed one board, dished out one assist, had one steal, and turned the ball over once in 22 minutes.

Fantasy Impact

Performances like this aren't exactly irregular for Zeller and show why it's hard to trust him in standard fantasy leagues but he still makes for a solid start in deep leagues. With that said, he is still a viable fill-in starter for a regular you go with at a big man position in standard leagues who happens to be injured.

Cody Zeller slows down in loss to the Trailblazers

Cody Zeller totaled six points (3-7 FG, 0-1 3PT, 0-1 FT), five rebounds, zero assists, zero blocks, one steals, one foul, and zero turnovers in 23 minutes in the Hornets’ loss to the Trailblazers 115 – 112 on Monday.

Fantasy Impact

Zeller had a low floor game against the Trailblazers this pass Monday, scoring only six points in 23 minutes; however, this should not come as a surprise or concern. Zeller has a habit of doing well against teams you should do well against, and not so well against teams you should struggle against (trap teams included), which is a healthy sign that Zeller's play isn't unexplainably irregular. You'd have to go back to November to find an instance in which Zeller had a run of lousy scoring games in a row. For fantasy, purposes continue to monitor the matchups and remain confident that Zeller can consistently deliver for your squad any given night.

Cody Zeller posts 15 & 8 line in Sunday's loss to the Suns

Cody Zeller compiled 15 points (7-11 FG, 0-1 3PT, 1-2 FT) eight rebounds, five assists and one steal across 29 minutes in Sunday's 100-92 loss to the Suns.

Fantasy Impact

Zeller has scored double figures in seven of his last eight games and continues to contribute as one of Charlotte's top options off the bench. He is averaging 11.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists during that stretch. Zeller mainly contributes in points and rebounds and is a fringe option in standard leagues. The Hornets next scheduled game is Monday, away against the Trail Blazers.

Cody Zeller scores 14 points in loss against the Pacers

Cody Zeller provided 14 points (6-10 FG, 1-2 3PT, 1-2 FT), and four rebounds in 22 minutes in the Hornets’ loss against the Pacers on Monday night.

Fantasy Impact

Zeller has five consecutive games with double-digit point totals. Despite Zeller's scoring streak, fantasy owners should only start him in favorable matchups. The Hornets will face off against the Raptors on Wednesday night.

Cody Zeller is three boards shy of a double-double

In Thursday's 109-106 victory over the Cavaliers, Cody Zeller scored 11 points (3-4 FG, 0-1 3PT, 5-6 FT), grabbed seven boards, dished out two assists, and turned the ball over three times in 20 minutes.

Fantasy Impact

Zeller played at a passable level against Cleveland, fantasy wise, in standard leagues but he's starting to look more and more like someone who will be in those types of leagues' waiver wires before you know it. He is, however, a solid player to own in deep fantasy leagues still and is a must-start in the deepest of leagues.
