The rookie out of Villanova has yet to make his season debut for the Nuggets while he continues to rehab from the surgery he underwent in the summer to repair a fractured right lower leg. Once Gillespie is medically cleared to return to the court, expectations are the Nuggets will assign him to their G-League squad, the Grand Rapids Gold. However, the organization hasn’t given many specifics in terms of how far along the point guard is in his recovery, making it hard to pinpoint when he’ll be able to see his first action as a professional.

According to Wizards reporter Quinton Mayo, the Wizards are holding pre-draft visits with rookies Collin Gillespie and Kofi Cockburn.

The Wizards will be hosting Villanova PG Collin Gillespie and Illinois forward Kofi Cockburn for a pre-draft visit on Thursday. Gillespie is a traditional PG that will likely go in the second-round of the draft while Cockburn is a large big man who will also be a second-rounder. An interesting note on Cockburn is he had the best per-minute game score of any player to play on both days of the combine. He also is the heaviest player to ever weigh in at the combine at 293 pounds, ahead of Boban Marjanovic of the Mavericks.
