G - DET - OUT
Pistons guard Delon Wright (grade 2 right groin strain) will be out for at least two weeks and be reevaluated.
With Wright out, we can expect to see more playing time for Dennis Smith Jr., who got in foul trouble and did not have an efficient shooting performance the last outing. However, Smith Jr. managed to compile many peripheral statistics earning three blocks, three steals, five assists, and four rebounds. Fantasy managers can start Smith Jr. with confidence assuming his price stays reasonable and are optimistic about his field goal percentage.
Detroit Pistons SG Delon Wright (groin) left Friday's game against the Grizzlies.
Wright was forced to leave the game with a groin injury. He finished the game recording 16 points, three rebounds, and four assists. When the veteran guard headed to the locker room, it was Josh Jackson and Svi Mykhailiuk who saw the minutes increase. Wrights status is unknown for Sunday's game against the Magic.
Delon Wright posted 12 points (5-9 FG, 0-2 3PT, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two turnovers in 39 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Bulls.
Wright started the game strongly but was quiet for the remaining three quarters. His 39 minutes marked a team-high, as he continues to see a major role on this poor Pistons team. He'll look to bounce-back in Friday's game against the Grizzlies.
Delon Wright posted 17 points (6-7 FG, 1-1 3PT, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, six assists, and one turnover in 36 minutes during Sunday's win over the Pelicans.
Wright's impressive play continued as he's scored 17 or more points in four of his last five games and has shot an impressive 81 percent from the field over his last two. He's really benefitting from Derrick Rose's departure to New York and is locked in as the starting point guard for the Pistons going forward. He'll look to stay in rhythm for Tuesday's tilt against the Spurs.
Delon Wright continues to fill up the stat sheet, scoring 22 points (7-9 FG, 1-1 3PT, 7-8 FT) with six rebounds, seven assists, one steal, one block and two turnovers across 35 minutes in a big 108-102 win over the Celtics.
Wright continues to play heavy minutes and contribute in a variety of ways for both the Pistons and his fantasy managers. He has scored 22 points with seven assists in three of his last four games, helping Detroit to two huge victories over the Nets and Celtics. With Derrick Rose now in New York, Wright's playing time is as safe as it has ever been. Look for him to keep it going Sunday against the Pelicans.
