Spurs guard Derrick White (health and safety protocols) is out of Monday's matchup against the Nets.
With White out, we can expect more playing time from Patty Mills.
San Antonio Spurs PG Derrick White (health protocols) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Thunder.
The Spurs will be short-handed with White and five other players already being ruled out against the Thunder for Wednesday's affair. The veteran guard's absence should open up minutes at point guard for Lonnie Walker IV. Walker makes for an immense DFS option on Wednesday.
Derrick White will slot back into the starting lineup for San Antonio on Friday when they clash with the Hawks.
White had been rested on Tuesday during the second-half of a back-to-back against Golden State. He seems to be fully ready to go on Friday, which will send Devin Vassell back to bench duty tonight. White's season has been typified by absence as he's only played in six games this campaign. He'll look to gain some traction on Friday.
Derrick White (toe/recovery) will sit out the second night of the back-to-back set of games with Golden State on Tuesday.
This is no surprise since White just worked his way back from the toe injury and hasn't been cleared yet to play two nights in a row. The Spurs do get Lonnie Walker back from illness to help in the backcourt and Dejounte Murray should also be in line for an uptick in usage.
Derrick White scored 18 points (6-11 Fg, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 Ft) two rebounds, one assist, and two steals across 21 minutes in the Spurs 129-112 loss to the Grizzlies on Saturday night in San Antonio.
White saw his first game action since Janurary 1 against the Lakers and put up pretty decent numbers in just 21 minutes of play. While White is not a recommended pick-up at this point he may be worth monitoring if he sees an uptick in minutes for the Spurs. The Spurs will next take on the Grizzlies on Monday night in San Antonio.
