G - DET - OUT
Detroit Pistons PG (illness) has been ruled out of Tuesday's game against the Brooklyn Nets.
With newly acquired point guard Dennis Smith (health and safety protocols) being ruled out on Tuesday as well as Jackson missing due to illness, DFS players will want to target PG Delon Wright at $6,000 on FanDuel. Wright scored 22 points and dished 10 assists in the team's last game against the Lakers on Saturday and a lack of depth will provide increased minutes for Wright to build upon his previous performance, albeit in a tough matchup against the Nets on Tuesday.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are releasing point guard Frank Jackson.
Jackson spent his first two seasons with the Pelicans' and was trying to earn a spot with the rebuilding Thunder. He's still only 22-years-old and should latch on with a team looking to add some depth at point guard heading into the season. He's not on the fantasy radar.
Frank Jackson totaled 31 points (12-24 FG, 3-9 3PT, 4-5 FT), two rebounds, five assists, and one steal in 36 minutes in the Pelicans' 127-133 loss to the Magic on Thursday.
Jackson ended his "bubble" run on a "high-note" going for 31 points in the Pelicans' loss to the Magic. Throughout the "scrimmage" and "seeding" game series, he consistently showed his potential to be a productive contributor on the team. The Pelicans have a crowded back-court and will need to show more commitment to having Jackson in the rotation before he can be considered a viable fantasy asset. We will have to wait until next year to see how he will fit into what the Pelicans are doing.
Frank Jackson totaled 18 points (8-11 FG, 1-2 3PT, 1-2 FT), one rebound, four assists, and one steal in 24 minutes in the Pelicans' 112-106 loss to the Kings on Tuesday.
Jackson had himself a night putting up 18 points against the Kings. He should have ample opportunity to build on his performance against the Magic, and has the talent to do so. Jackson has maintained the backup point-guard role this season and showed the ability to produce at a respectable level. He is worth considering in DFS as a cheap flier option.
Frank Jackson totaled five points (2-5 FG, 1-1 3PT), one rebound, and one assist in nine minutes in the Pelicans' 122-113 loss to the Spurs on Sunday.
After having a productive game against the Wizards in which Jackson saw 20 minutes of playing time, he only logged nine minutes of playing time in the Pelicans' loss to the Spurs. Even though his role is inconsistent within the rotation, it is worth noting that he seems to have "won" the backup point-guard role behind Lonzo Ball. At this time, his current level of production doesn't warrant any fantasy consideration.
