Jahlil Okafor (ankle) ruled out Thursday

Jahlil Okafor has been ruled out for Thursday's contest against the Clippers.

Fantasy Impact

Okafur sprained his ankle earlier in the week and has been ruled out Thursday. Derrick Favors should see some additional minutes with Okafur sidelined.

Jahlil Okafor a healthy scratch in Saturday's win

Jahlil Okafor (DNP-Coach's Decision) did not see the floor during Saturday's 115-110 win over the Hornets.

Fantasy Impact

Okafor was expected to come off the bench in this one with Derrick Favors moving into the starting lineup. However, rookie center Jaxson Hayes earned 18 minutes, Nicolo Melli saw five and Favors played 29 while Okafor remained glued to the bench. It is unclear at the moment if this is going to be trend, but Okafor can safely be dropped in the majority of leagues. The Pelicans next game is Monday, home against the Rockets.

Jahlil Okafor posts double-double in loss

Jahlil Okafor collected 15 points (7-14 FG, 0-0 3PT,1-3 FT,), with 12 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks in 29 minutes during Saturday's 115-104 loss to the Thunder.

Fantasy Impact

Derrick Favors (knee) has missed three straight contests. With Favors out, Okafor has filled up the stat sheet in two of the three games. It remains to be seen whether Favors will be ready to return for Monday's bout against the Nets, but if not Okafor may once again be a solid option in daily leagues.

Jahlil Okafor's option picked up for the 2019-2020 season

Jahlil Okafor's gradual progress has been rewarded as the Pelicans have picked up his second-year club option for next season. He averaged 8.2 points and 4.7 rebounds in 59 games last year.

Fantasy Impact

While he may not be the starting center next season, having him on the team at least adds some insurance at the position with Anthony Davis gone. The Pelicans will likely add some big men tonight in the draft, but Okafor, still only 23, will continue to try to shed his bust label and be a productive player for a team in a rapid rebuild.

Christian Wood puts up another big game

Christian Wood put in 25 points, nine rebounds, three steals, one dime and one block in 28 minutes of floor time.

Fantasy Impact

It seems the Pels have found the guy they will be using to soak up all of the Brow's minutes for the remainder of the season as the youngster has now posted 24.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.5 blocks and 3.0 steals on 72 percent shooting from the field over the last two games. He's worth an add everywhere.
