Jakob Poeltl notches double-double in win Tuesday

Jakob Poeltl racked up a double-double with 14 points (6-7 FG, 2-3 FT) and 12 rebounds Tuesday. He also added one assist, one block, and one steal over 27 minutes of play.

Poeltl isn't putting up massive numbers but he's a pretty good shot for a double-double every game. He'll look to add another Thursday in San Antonio's final game of the seeding round.

Jakob Poeltl comes up one point short of career-high, posts double-double

Jakob Poeltl registered 19 points (9-12 FG, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, three blocks, and two assists over 31 minutes as the starting center in Friday's 119-111 win over the Jazz.

Fantasy Impact

Poeltl's career-high is 20, which he set back in 2018. Seeing Friday's 19 point total and his 10 rebounds and this was one of the best games he's had in his three-year career. With LaMarcus Aldridge out, Poeltl will be one of the few bigs on the Spurs. He should see some consistent minutes for the remainder of the season and is an intriguing, albeit risky, DFS play.

Jakob Poeltl (knee) will suit up for the Spurs in Orlando

Spurs C Jakob Poeltl has confirmed to reporters that his knee is 100 percent and that he will join his teammates in Orlando for the restart of the 2019-20 NBA season.

Fantasy Impact

With LaMarcus Aldridge on the shelf due to season-ending surgery, the Spurs really needed Poeltl for the remainder of the season. To prepare for life inside the bubble at Disney World, Poeltl said that he’s been playing lots of video games while in isolation in San Antonio. When asked about his upcoming free agency and the risk of injury, Poeltl said, “I've obviously thought about it, for me personally, I always wanted to play...family and agent came to the conclusion it's safe enough." The Spurs find themselves four games out of the 8th-seed in the Western Conference, and it’ll be an upward battle to clinch a playoff spot in August.

Jakob Poeltl (knee) deemed fully healthy

Jakob Poeltl has made a full recovery from his MCL sprain and is ready to return when the season starts.

Fantasy Impact

Poeltl was diagnosed with a sprained MCL in early March and was set to miss two-to-four weeks. "Although I have no experience with knee injuries, I expect that I will have no problems if the season continues," Poeltl said. If or when the NBA season returns, the 24-year-old would resume his role as a backup center to starter LeMarcus Aldridge. Poeltl averaged 5.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.4 blocks across 58 games this year. The NBA season is currently suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Jakob Poeltl diagnosed with a sprained MCL

Jakob Poeltl (knee) has been diagnosed with a sprained right MCL and has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Pacers.

Fantasy Impact

Poeltl initially suffered the knee injury in Saturday's 114-113 win over the Magic. He was later diagnosed with a sprained MCL and is currently day-to-day. Look for Trey Lyles to see an uptick in minutes with Poeltl sidelined. With LaMarcus Aldridge possibly out on Monday as well, Lyles can be used as a streamer and is worth adding in deep-league formats.
