G - DEN - OUT
Nuggets' star Jamal Murray has a torn ACL in his left knee and will miss the remainder of the season.
After going up for a layup with 50 seconds left in Monday's game, Murray went down in a heap, clearly in a lot of pain. Although we hoped for the best, it looks like Murray did indeed suffer a season-ending ACL tear in his left knee. In his absence, fantasy managers should look to Monte Morris and Facundo Campazzo to take over the starting PG duties for the Nuggets going forward. Murray's line for the 2020-2021 will end as 21.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game.
Jamal Murray (sore right knee) returned from a four-game absence on Monday night, scoring 17 points (5-15 FG, 1-5 3-pt, 6-6 FT) while contributing four rebounds, four assists, three steals, a block, and four turnovers in 33 minutes in a loss to Golden State. However, Murray was re-injured (this time to his left knee) in the closing minutes of the game and had to be assisted to the locker room.
From the video, Murray appeared to suffer a significant injury to his left knee in a truly devastating turn of events. Fantasy owners and Nuggets fans alike will have to hold their collective breath while awaiting an update from the team, which likely will include an MRI tomorrow, but an extended absence seems inevitable at this point. Monte Morris would likely shift into the starting lineup if Murray misses time and is worth a speculative add in all formats for the time being. Facundo Campazzo and Will Barton would also see a bump in value as well.
Nuggets' G Jamal Murray exited Monday's matchup with the Warriors with what looks to be a left knee injury.
Murray required help leaving the court and seemed to be in quite a bit of pain beneath the basket after attempting to drive to the basket for a layup. The injury looks to be a left knee injury, a different knee than the one that kept him out of the Nuggets' previous four contests. Check back for more updates once more news is released.
Nuggets' G Jamal Murray is available to play in Monday's contest against the Golden State Warriors.
Murray has missed the last four games for the Nuggets due to knee soreness. However, it looks like he's healthy enough to suit up against the Warriors tonight. Murray will look to help a Nuggets team that fell to the Celtics in the first game of a back-to-back.
Denver Nuggets PG Jamal Murray (knee) is questionable to play Monday's game against the Golden State Warriors due to soreness in his right knee.
Murray has sat out the last four games due to right knee soreness and is questionable to return against the Warriors on Monday night. Fantasy managers should see if Nuggets reserve PG Facundo Campazzo remains available on league waiver wires, as he is averaging 8.8 points and 3.8 assists across 26 minutes during Murray's four-game absence. Campazzo is not a smash play but can provide decent overall production as a weaker option in your lineup against Steph Curry and the Warriors. Expect the elite Nuggets' frontcourt comprised of Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr., and Nikola Jokic to receive heavy usage against the small-ball lineup implemented by Golden State.
