The Oklahoma City Thunder exercised the rookie scale team option on Jared McCain.

Fantasy Impact

McCain will earn $6.78 million for the 2027-28 season.

Jared McCain scored 18 points (6-14 FG, 4-7 3PT, 2-3 FT) and dished out four assists in Monday night's 125-114 win over the Phoenix Suns.

Fantasy Impact

The Thunder has needed McCain to step up after losing several key guards due to injury, and he did step up on Monday. He finished with 18 points through 30 minutes of action, and he was able to maintain solid efficiency all throughout. Fantasy managers should expect him to continue to be productive on a game-to-game basis moving forward.

Jared McCain scored 20 points (7-9 FG, 6-8 3PT) and grabbed two rebounds in Tuesday's 116-104 win over the San Antonio Spurs.

Fantasy Impact

McCain came off of the bench on Tuesday, but he was still able to make a big impact on the game, scoring 20 points on terrific efficiency from beyond the arc. He was one of the main difference makers for the Thunder in this game, which is why he ended with the highest +/- out of anybody on the team at +20. He should continue to be a good fantasy option moving forward, though it won't always be quite up to this level.

Jared McCain will start again for the Thunder on Thursday against the Spurs.

Fantasy Impact

McCain will start for a second straight game as Oklahoma City attempts to close out the series.

Jared McCain will start in Tuesday's Game 5 against the Spurs.

Fantasy Impact

McCain will get his first career playoff start on Tuesday, filling in for the injured Jalen Williams. Ajay Mitchell and Cason Wallace, who have previously started in place of Williams, will have featured roles off the bench.
