Eligibility
Johnny O'Bryant has been traded to the Knicks in exchange for Willy Hernangomez. O'Bryant will backup Enes Kanter as the team also looks to move Kyle O'Quinn and Joakim Noah.
Fantasy Impact
O'Bryant was a solid backup for Howard in Charlotte but not much of a fantasy asset. Leave O'Bryant on the waiver wire even after the news regrading Porzingis being out for the season.
After a three-game absence (ankle), Johnny O'Bryant ended up seeing the court against the Minnesota Timberwolves though only for four minutes of action while producing zero points on 0-of-3 shooting and one rebound.
Fantasy Impact
Let's face it, numbers really shouldn't be expected from a guy who only saw four minutes of play. However, this is a step in the right direction for O'Bryant who proved to be a reliable commodity coming off of the bench before his injury. While reliable is great for an NBA franchise, O'Bryant will not be posting numbers that will help your fantasy franchise anytime soon and therefore is a safe bet to leave on the bench until otherwise noted.
Johnny O'Bryant is still out with a sprained right ankle on Tuesday. O'Bryant has missed nine games in a row so he's likely done for the season. Miles Plumlee is back but has been a DNP-CD.
Fantasy Impact
O'Bryant isn't a fantasy asset and shouldn't have been on any teams up to this point. Marvin Williams, Cody Zeller and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will continue to see plenty of minutes along with Frank Kaminsky.
Johnny O'Bryant will miss his fifth game in a row due to a right ankle sprain. O'Bryant has signed on for the rest of the season but the Hornets have both Cody Zeller and Frank Kaminsky healthy. O'Bryant will see only a few minutes when he returns.
Fantasy Impact
The biggest news is the fact that Marvin Williams is playing his best basketball down the stretch. Kaminsky and Zeller will split center duties until Miles Plumlee also returns. O'Bryant is best left on the wire.
As expected, Johnny O'Bryant has signed his second 10-day deal to remain with the Hornets. O'Bryant will see some action with Frank Kamisnky now out a week or two. Christian Wood will see a few minutes as well.
Fantasy Impact
O'Bryant is purely a depth signing for the Hornets so he can be left on the waiver wire. Marvin Williams is a must add as he's still only owned in about 41 percent of ESPN.com leagues.
