According to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, if the Cavaliers sign anybody from Wednesday's workout, it will be Jordan Farmar. Farmar impressed during the tryout, but he is also willing to sign a 10-day contract, something which Mario Chalmers and Kirk Hinrich were unwilling to do. Farmar is in a "holding pattern," a source told ESPN, as it is possible that the Cavs will not offer a 10-day contract to anyone.
Fantasy Impact
It's highly unlikely to see Farmar make a fantasy impact even if signed by the Cavaliers.
Jordan Farmar has been waived by the Kings. With Darren Collison returning from his eight-game suspension, Farmar became expendable. Ty Lawson will now backup Collison.
Fantasy Impact
Farmar may look overseas for his next team. With Collison returning Lawson's value drops quite a bit.
Jordan Farmar signed with the Kings on Wednesday. Farmer spent the offseason with the Kings and was waived before the start of the season. The Kings had an open roster spot and wanted to add some depth behind Ty Lawson until Darren Collision returns from suspension.
Fantasy Impact
Collision is expected back after eight games with Lawson handling most of the minutes at point guard. Farmar won't be fantasy relevant.
Now that the Clippers have acquired Austin Rivers, it is expected that they will waive Jordan Farmar. Farmar has struggled this season as Chris Paul's backup. Farmar was rumored in a trade with Sacramento; it will be interesting to see if they claim him.
Fantasy Impact
Jordan Farmar went from having zero fantasy value, to having zero fantasy value. Keep an eye on which team Farmar ends up with; if any. Maybe a change in scenery will allow Farmar to get back to scoring his career average of 7.7 points per game. With Farmar and Reggie Bullock off the team, Austin Rivers will have enough minutes to prove his value and raise his fantasy value.
It has been rumored that the Clippers are looking for trade partners and shopping Jordan Farmar. The Clippers are reportedly looking to obtain an expiring contract to use in a trade with Boston for Austin Rivers; coach Doc Rivers' son.
Fantasy Impact
Jordan Farmar is nothing more than role player. He has little to no fantasy value. This season he is averaging 14.7 minutes and 4.6 points per game. Farmar does nothing to help in any other categories either. If a trade does happen, look for Austin Rivers to take on Farmar's minutes. Rivers has more upside and can play both guard positions; something Farmar cannot.
