Fantasy Impact
Reese is not being given an opportunity to show what he can in every game, but when he gets the chance, he has been taking advantage. The rookie out of Maryland has been particularly impressive on the boards, averaging 13.8 over his last four games.
Julian Reese scored eight points (4-12 FG, 0-2 FT) and pulled down a team-high 13 rebounds in 39 minutes during Sunday's 123-88 loss to the Blazers.
Fantasy Impact
Reese signed a two-way contract with the Wizards at the end of February, so Washington has had to monitor his playing time. When he's been active, however, Reese has shown flashes of dominance as evidenced by two double-doubles, three double-digit rebound games, and three double-digit scoring efforts. In his seven games, Reese is averaging 11.4 points and 11.0 rebounds in 31 minutes per contest.
Julian Reese scored 26 points (12-16 FG, 2-4 FT) to go along with 17 rebounds, one steal and one block in the Wizards 133-110 win over the Jazz.
Fantasy Impact
Reese appeared in his first game since March 16 due to his two-way contract. His role the rest of the season will be dependent on the statuses of Alex Sarr and Tristan Vukčević.
Reese signed a two-way contract less than a week ago and has started all three games of his NBA career, but Thursday against the Jazz was his best yet — career-highs in both points and rebounds with 18 points (5-of-7 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs), 20 rebounds, two assists, and one steal.
Fantasy Impact
Ten of those rebounds came on the offensive end, and for fantasy managers desperate for boards down the stretch, he's worth a look for as long as the starts keep coming.
