Kelly Oubre Jr.
F - GSW
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Golden State Warriors are finalizing a trade to acquire Thunder forward Kelly Oubre Jr.
The Warriors are reportedly sending a first-round pick in return, making this deal a no-brainer for a team built to win now such as the Warriors. Only 24-years-old, the fifth-year forward really came on last season in Phoenix, averaging 18.7 points and 6.4 rebounds across 56 total games before suffering a season ending injury. While he may not garner the same usage rate as he saw last season in Phoenix, he will remain an excellent mid-round selection in fantasy drafts.
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports the Warriors are nearing a trade to acquire Kelly Oubre Jr. from the Thunder.
Oubre would be a nice fit in Golden State as the team deals with the loss of Klay Thompson (Achilles). The 24-year-old will be able to focus his efforts on the defensive end of the court will being the third or fourth option on offense.
Suns F Kelly Oubre Jr. was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder as part of a trade involving All-Star PG Chris Paul.
Oubre has been rehabbing a knee injury for the past several months, and while he enjoyed career-highs in points (18.7) and rebounds (6.4) during his 2019-2020 season, he's been shipped to his third team in three years. He'll now join a young and vibrant Thunder team who will likely move on from F Danilo Gallinari which should open up plenty of opportunities for him this season.
Kelly Oubre Jr., who is still rehabbing from right knee surgery, is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game against the Miami Heat.
Oubre was doubtful for Thursday's game against Indiana, a game which the Suns won, as well, so this news isn't surprising. He's getting closer to returning but even if he were to play on Saturday he's not a recommended DFS play given that he's missed so much time.
Kelly Oubre Jr. has been ruled out of the Suns' game on Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks. Oubre Jr. has been recovering from a knee injury, which has kept him from participating in any game or scrimmage since he joined the Suns in Orlando.
Oubre Jr. was having his best season statistically, averaging 18.7 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game. The Suns could really use Oubre Jr. as they are trying to make a push for the playoffs. Hopefully Oubre Jr. can return to the Suns' lineup during the NBA restart, but he should not he considered in fantasy until he proves to be healthy and in game shape.
