The Sacramento Kings are picking up Kessler Edwards' $1.9 million team option for the 2023-2024 season.

Edwards was acquired by Sacramento at the deadline last season. He should play a similar role in the front court off the Kings bench.

Edwards continues to see the starts for Brooklyn in the absence of Kevin Durant (knee). His overall fantasy basketball upside is a tad bit limited thouh there is some more opportunity in home games where Kyrie Irving is unable to play.

Edwards saw the start in the absence of Kevin Durant (knee) as he expected to miss the next 4-6 weeks. He tied Kyrie Irving for the second-most minutes on the team, but still doesn't hold too much value from a fantasy basketball perspective.

Kessler Edwards will miss Brooklyn's matchup with the 76ers on Thursday after being placed in the league's health and safety protocols.

Edwards has impressed at times during his short five-game stint with the Nets, averaging 8.6 points and five rebounds per game. However, he is not a fantasy option going forward, especially with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving returning to the floor for Brooklyn.
