Kevin Love has donated $100,000 to affected Cavaliers arena and support staff in the wake of the NBA suspension.
The NBA suspension will undoubtedly have far-reaching consequences, one of which is the regular pay that goes to all the individuals that make NBA game-day operations run smoothly and efficiently in the arena. Love is doing his part by donating a large sum of money to help the affected staff, which could lead the way for other players to do the same. Mark Cuban spoke about setting up some sort of contingency fund for Dallas support personnel, and Cody Zeller and Spencer Dinwiddie have both spoken up on Twitter as well. We’ll all get through this, but it takes an army, and Love is putting his philanthropic-foot forward to try and help those affected by this unprecedented turn of events.
Kevin Love scored 17 points (5-16 FG, 2-13 3PT, 5-5 FT), with eight boards, seven assists, one steal, and three turnovers in 37 minutes during Tuesday night's 108-103 loss to Chicago.
Love couldn't buy a bucket from deep, only shooting 2-13 from beyond the arc. He made up for his poor shooting by providing a solid all-around line for his fantasy owners, and almost put up a triple-double. Love has quietly put together a fantastic start to the month of March, averaging 21.2 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists in 37 minutes per game over five games. It's been an up-and-down year for Love and the lowly Cavaliers, but if he can stay healthy down the stretch and the Cavs keep giving him 35+ minutes a game, he's going to put up some monster numbers for fantasy owners.
Kevin Love amassed 14 points (3-12 FG, 1-5 3PT, 7-8 FT) 18 rebounds, three assists and four turnovers across 40 minutes in Sunday's 132-129 win over the Spurs.
Love struggled from the field in Sunday's win, but dominated the glass by pulling down a game-high 18 rebounds in Sunday's win. He has recorded a double-double in two of his last four contests. Love is averaging 22.3 points, 11.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 4.3 triples during that span. The Cavaliers next scheduled game is Tuesday, away against the Bulls.
Kevin Love produced 26 points (9-17 FG, 5-10 3PT, 5-10 FT) 14 rebounds, five assists and one block across 37 minutes in Wednesday's 112-106 loss to the Celtics.
Love has now scored at least 20 points in his last three games and recorded his 22nd double-double of the season. With Andre Drummond and Tristan Thompson both ruled out, Love once again started at center and logged 37 minutes. He appears to be fully recovered from the Achilles injury which caused him to miss one game at the end of February. Love will look to continue his strong play in Saturday's tilt against the Nuggets.
Kevin Love totaled 22 points (7-15 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 2-3 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and a steal over 32 minutes in the Cavs’ 126-113 loss to the Jazz on Monday.
Love nearly double-doubled for the second straight game Monday, as he came away with another big stat line. The big man started the game at center due to the absences of Andre Drummond and Tristan Thompson, and he should continue to see elevated production for as long as one or both of those players is out.
