Kyle Lowry leads Raptors to first ever NBA Championship

The Toronto Raptors won their first ever NBA Championship on Thursday night, beating the Warriors 114-110 in a drama filled affair. Kyle Lowry started out scorching hot from the get-go, scoring the Raptors first 11 points of the ball game. Lowry finished with 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 10 assists to lead his team to their first ever championship.

Fantasy Impact

It took a full 48 minutes for the Raptors to finish the series out, as the Warriors fought hard but ultimately fell short. Klay Thompson left the game early in the third quarter with a knee injury and the Raptors were able to take advantage. This was a feel good story for Toronto and the country of Canada and this year will go down in history.

Kyle Lowry misses chance to win NBA Championship in front of home fans

Kyle Lowry had a good look from the three-point line with seconds left but hit the side of the backboard and the Warriors came away with a 106-105 victory on Monday night. The Raptors were up six points with two minutes left but failed to close out the series and win their first NBA championship in Toronto. It was a heartbreaking loss for the team but they will look to re-group for Thursday’s game six matchup in Golden State.

Fantasy Impact

Lowry had a strong game, finishing with 16 points, four rebounds and six assists. Unfortunately he made a bad turnover with a couple minutes left and failed to hit the last shot of the game. Look for Toronto to be much better from the three-point line on Thursday and put in another good effort against a Warriors team that will be without superstar Kevin Durant.

Kyle Lowry plays 44 minutes in Raptors’ Game 3 win

Kyle Lowry performed excellently on the road against Golden State, picking up 23 points, five rebounds and eight assists on 8-of-16 shooting. He also added one steal and one block.

Fantasy Impact

This was the offensive showing the Raptors have been looking for. In Games 1 and 2, Lowry put up just a combined 20 points, so he bested that total in game three alone. He was his usual scrappy self, but this time he shot 5-of-9 from three-point range. Considering the magnitude of the game and it taking place on the road, you’ve got to love what Lowry showed on Wednesday.

Kyle Lowry helps the Raptors even the series vs. the Bucks

Kyle Lowry scored 23 points to go along with five rebounds and six assists to help the Toronto Raptors win 120-102 and even up the Eastern Conference Final series 2-2 against the Milwaukee Bucks. Lowry took some of the load off Kawhi on Tuesday night, as Leonard seemed fatigued and a little banged up. Lowry went 10-10 from the free-throw line and made a concerted effort to attack the rim all night.

Fantasy Impact

This was a very efficient effort for Lowry in just 34 minutes of action. The Raptors will head to Milwaukee for Thursday nights game five matchup and look for Kyle Lowry to keep his strong playoff series going. He is pivotal part of the Raptors offence and is a must start in Fantasy.

Kyle Lowry shines in game one loss to the Milwaukee Bucks

Kyle Lowry was one of the few bright spots for the Raptors in game one on Wednesday night - scoring 30 points and hitting seven of nine three-point attempts. Lowry was the only Raptor to make a field goal in the fourth quarter, as he hit five of seven field goals while his teammates combined to go 0 for 15.

Fantasy Impact

It was great to see Kyle Lowry being aggressive with his shot and contributing from the three-point line all night long. The fourth quarter was a meltdown for the rest of the team but Lowry was still able to find his shot - scoring 14 of the Raptors 17 points. The Raptors will have to re-group for game two on Friday and find a way to steal a game in Milwaukee.
