Shams Charania on Twitter is reporting that Lance Stephenson is in talks with the Pacers to sign with his former club.
Fantasy Impact
In order for Stephenson to be able to sign with his former club, he would first need to get clearance from his Chinese team and FIBA. The Pacers are looking to shore up their bench as they have been hit with plethora of injuries. Stephenson should be left on waiver wires to see if the Pacers actually sign the veteran and he illustrates that he actually can contribute quality minutes.
Lance Stephenson is leaving the NBA to play for Liaoning Flying Leopards of the Chinese Basketball Association. He signed a one-year contract is worth $4M.
Fantasy Impact
Stephenson is packing his luggage for China, as apparently no team in North America was willing to offer him a deal. While he has occasionally flashed his handling and scoring ability, his inconsistent play was frustrating enough for every single club to bypass him. In Stephenson's lone season with the Purple and Gold, he averaged 7.2 PPG and 3.2 RPG in 68 games. Perhaps he can parlay a successful year abroad into a new NBA contract in 2020.
Lance Stephenson put in seven points, 10 rebounds, five dimes and one steal in 25 minutes of game action on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
Stephenson has seen 20+ minutes in three of his past four outings and is enjoying himself as per usual. Lance snagged a season-high 10 boards against the Wizards, but it was the crossover he put on Jeff Green that showed no regard for human life or ankles that made headlines for Stephenson. He's worth a look in fantasy in deeper leagues if he continues to see 20+ minutes.
Lance Stephenson managed eight points, seven rebounds and three dimes during 25 minutes on the court on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Stephenson remains irrelevant in fantasy but saw decent playing time on Sunday. He's most likely to make an impact when LeBron is out.
Lance Stephenson (toe) will not be available on Friday against the Pistons.
Fantasy Impact
Stephenson was in line for big minutes with all the injuries for the Lakers, but instead he'll be joining them on the shelf. Andre Ingram, KCP and Alex Caruso could be in for some decent minutes.
