Larry Sanders will be waived by the Cavaliers while the team will sign Walter Tavares in a corresponding move. Sanders didn't last long with the Cavaliers spending most of his time in the D-league and not playing even with Tristan Thompson out.
Sanders isn't worth owning in any leagues and may find it tough to find another team willing to sign him.
Larry Sanders made his Cavaliers debut on Tuesday against the Pistons playing a total of two minutes. He posted no stats missing his only shot attempt.
Sanders will spend much of his time in the D-league while the Cavaliers can't lose another big man to injury. Sanders also hasn't played in the NBA since 2014. He's a playoff bench player for the Cavs not a fantasy playoff add.
Larry Sanders has agreed to join the Cavaliers for the remainder of the season on Monday. With Andrew Bogut ruled out with an injury for the rest of the season and Chris Anderson traded to Charlotte who was also out with injury, the Cavaliers needed another big to add to their thin frontcourt. Sanders hasn't played in the NBA since 2014 so his conditioning may be a question.
Sanders is unlikely to provide any fantasy impact this season unless something happens to Tristan Thompson. Sanders should see minutes right away especially with Kevin Love out. Leave him on the wire until we see more.
Larry Sanders and the Cavaliers are in serious discussions about signing the former Milwaukee Bucks center to a deal. With Andrew Bogut done for the year, the Cavaliers turned their attention to Sanders who could fill in nicely behind Tristan Thompson. We will see if a deal can get done.
Sanders hasn't played in the NBA since 2014 so his fantasy value could be non-existent even with signing with the Cavaliers. He will have to fight for minutes with Channing Frye, Tristan Thompson and Derrick Williams. He's unlikely to make an impact unless Thompson gets hurt.
Free agent Larry Sanders is in Cleveland working out for the Cavaliers on Wednesday.
Sanders last NBA action was with the Milwaukee Bucks during the 2014-2015 season where he averaged 7.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 27 games. If the Cavaliers sign Sanders he would likely take some time to get into game shape and even then would only see a few minutes off the bench. He is not worth fantasy consideration in any format.
