Luol Deng (achilles) will not be in the lineup on Thursday

Luol Deng (achilles) will not suit up for Minnesota's matchup with the Jazz on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

Deng's absence has opened the door for Keita Bates-Diop to see added minutes. Josh Okogie is also seeing added time and you can expect the Wolves to continue riding their young guys going forward.

Luol Deng (Achilles) will not play on Sunday

Luol Deng has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Wizards due to an injured left Achilles. With Deng out, Keita Bates-Diop and Josh Okogie will pick up more minutes.

Fantasy Impact

With Deng out in the previous game it was actually Anthony Tolliver who benefited the most scoring 13 points. Okogie gets a boost but all of these players are risky daily options.

Luol Deng gets spot start on Wednesday

Luol Deng gets his second start in a row on Wednesday against the Houston Rockets as the team is missing both Andrew Wiggins and Robert Covington. Deng played well scoring 13 points while grabbing eight rebounds, dishing out four assists, and blocking two shots in 36 minutes.

Fantasy Impact

Deng's fantasy value hangs in the wings of Robert Covington and Andrew Wiggins who both should return after the All Star break. However, Deng has made a case for a role down the stretch if the Wolves can make a push for the playoffs.

Luol Deng scored season-high 18 points in loss to the Grizzlies

Luol Deng made 8-of-10 shots and two three-pointers for 18 points, seven rebounds, one assist, and two steals in 22 minutes against Memphis.

Fantasy Impact

Deng was given a shot to play as the Wolves starters struggled to get it going offensively. He has now scored in double figures in three of his last four games, but he is not worth a pickup even in deeper leagues.
