The Spurs have traded Malaki Branham to the Wizards in a deal where they acquired Kelly Olynyk.
Fantasy Impact
Branham gets a fresh start after not playing a big role in San Antonio. He'll add depth in the back court for Washington.
Malaki Branham posted 17 points off the bench in Sunday's 120-109 road loss against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Fantasy Impact
Branham was a solid 7-of-14 from the field, including 3-of-6 from behind the 3-point arc, and he managed four rebounds with two assists and just two turnovers in 23 minutes. There's something about Portland that sets Branham off, as he also had 17 points in a meeting with the Trail Blazers in San Antonio on Nov. 17. He has 13 or more points in three of the past four games, as his usage is up lately. DFS players might want to roll the dice on him this week if his consistent minutes off the bench continues.
Malaki Branham (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards.
Fantasy Impact
Branham has been out for the last two games due to an ankle injury, but he will have a chance to make his return to the lineup on Wednesday. The team will make a determination about his status closer to game time, and his return would mean less work for Stephon Castle moving forward.
Malaki Branham has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Jazz.
Fantasy Impact
Branham suffered a right ankle sprain earlier in the week. Devin Vassell is slated to make his season debut on Saturday for the Spurs.
Malaki Branham (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Utah Jazz.
Fantasy Impact
Branham suffered a sprained ankle during Thursday's win over the Portland Trail Blazers, and it may be serious enough to leave him sidelined against Utah. He's officially questionable to play right now, and if he's ruled out, Stephon Castle will benefit from his absence from a fantasy standpoint.
