Micah Peavy

The Grizzlies waived Micah Peavy.

Fantasy Impact

Peavy will seek another opportunity.

The Pelicans traded Micah Peavy, Jordan Hawkins, a future second-round pick and a second-round pick swap to the Grizzlies for AJ Johnson and Taj Gibson.

Fantasy Impact

Peavy appeared in 61 games as a rookie last season. He is unlikely to be on the fantasy radar.

Micah Peavy has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Fantasy Impact

Peavy will miss his second consecutive game with a right great toe sprain. His next opportunity to play comes on Saturday against the Philadelphia 76ers. Having logged fewer than 10 minutes in four of his last five games, his absence is unlikely to impact the New Orleans Pelicans rotation.

Micah Peavy (toe) is listed questionable for Wednesday's game against the Miami Heat.

Fantasy Impact

The rookie is uncertain to play on Wednesday due to a toe injury that he's dealing with. If it leaves him sidelined against the Heat, fantasy managers should expect slightly more work for Bryce McGowens in that matchup.

Micah Peavy scored 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 3PT) to go with seven rebounds and four steals in Wednesday's 112-104 loss to the Detroit Pistons.

Fantasy Impact

Peavy had a great game on Wednesday. He led New Orleans' bench with 17 points scored over the course of the night, which was a new career high for him. He was also able to contribute well in other areas of the game with seven rebounds and four steals, which left him with a good fantasy total. He could continue to build on this momentum and be a good game-to-game option over the back half of the season.
