Moussa Diabate has been suspended for four games following a fight with Pistons center Jalen Duren on Monday.

Diabate fouled Duren in the third quarter, who then responded by grabbing and shoving Diabte’s face, starting the fight that quickly escalated to multiple suspensions. With Diabate out, Ryan Kalkbrenner should see an increase in workload and be a viable option, albeit somewhat of a low ceiling.

Diabate recorded his 14th double-double of the season and is averaging career-highs in nearly every category this year, including points (8.3), rebounds (8.7), assists (1.6), and blocks (1.0). Diabate started his 23rd game of the year and made his 21st consecutive start on Saturday. He is averaging 9.1 points and 10.1 rebounds while shooting 66.4% from the floor as a starter. If you are in need of rebounds with a solid field goal percentage, Diabate consistently helps both of those categories.

Moussa Diabate posted a near triple-double for the Hornets Saturday, grabbing 10 rebounds, dishing out six assists, and chipping in 12 points (6-9 FG) while also blocking two shots in a 111-106 win over the Spurs.

Diabate continues an impactful stretch on both ends of the floor, grabbing five or more rebounds and scoring 10 or more points in each of his last five games. The 24-year-old remains a mostly stable, low-floor option as part of a resurgent Charlotte lineup of late, averaging 8.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game to go along with a usage rate of 12.1% so far this season.
