OG Anunoby (hamstring) has been upgraded to questionable for Friday's game against the Utah Jazz.
Fantasy Impact
Anunoby has been out for a while due to a hamstring injury, but he seems to be close to a return. He has been upgraded to questionable to play ahead of the team's game on Friday, and even if he's not cleared to play for that game, that's still a promising sign that he will be back in the near future. Once he is back in the lineup and ramped back up to a full workload, he should return to being a quality contributor for fantasy purposes.
New York Knicks head coach Mike Brown said there’s no update on OG Anunoby’s return timeline, though he has begun controlled on-court work, including 3-on-3 scrimmages.
Fantasy Impact
Brown noted that the Knicks won’t rush Anunoby back, so fantasy managers will need to remain patient. While he remains sidelined, Josh Hart and Miles McBride should continue to start for New York.
OG Anunoby is expected to miss at least the next two weeks.
Fantasy Impact
Anunoby suffered the injury in Friday’s game against the Heat. Josh Hart and Landry Shamet will continue to see more run in his place.
OG Anunoby tallied 25 points (10-of-17 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), eight rebounds, one assist, two steals, one block, and three three-pointers in Wednesday's victory over the Timberwolves. He led six different Knicks players who scored in double figures.
Fantasy Impact
This was already Anunoby's fourth game this season with at least 20 points. After providing top-40 fantasy value last season, he has elevated his play to a top-20 level through the first eight games of 2025-26. Anunoby will look to end Week 3 on a high note when the Knicks host the Nets on Sunday, which is the fourth of seven straight home games for New York.
OG Anunoby scored 26 points (10-13 FG, 5-7 3PT, 1-2 FT) while also dishing out three assists, recording one steal, grabbing four rebounds, and blocking one shot in the Knicks' 135-125 loss to the Bulls.
Fantasy Impact
Anunoby continues a modest stretch on both ends of the floor, finishing with two or more rebounds and nine or more points in each of the last five games for the Knicks. The 28-year-old remains one of many versatile options in the New York lineup most nights under new head coach Mike Brown to begin the season.
