Peyton Watson scored 15 points (5-11 FG, 1-5 3PT, 4-4 FT) and grabbed six rebounds in Friday's 139-136 win over the Denver Nuggets.
Fantasy Impact
Watson was an effective contributor on Friday. He put up 15 points against the Spurs, although that wasn't enough to lead Denver to a win. He has been playing very well recently and should be considered a quality fantasy asset with Aaron Gordon (hamstring) possibly being out past the new year for Denver.
Peyton Watson scored 32 points (13-19 FG, 5-9 3P, 1-1 FT) with 12 rebounds and three assists in the Nuggets' 125-118 win over the Pelicans.
Fantasy Impact
Watson had himself a game! He set career highs in points and rebounds in a game that was much closer than anticipated. In his previous two games with the exact same amount of 34 minutes played, he combined for 17 points. He clearly got hot in this one and took over. But this type of performance is rarely indicative of things to come for fantasy, so he's not someone you should plug in your lineup right away. However, keeping an eye on him is not a bad idea.
Peyton Watson (knee) is without an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Indiana Pacers.
Fantasy Impact
Watson was able to play through his knee injury on Friday and is no longer listed on Denver's injury report ahead of Sunday's game. He should play without limitations against the Pacers, but that isn't expected to lead to a strong fantasy total.
Peyton Watson (knee) has been upgraded to active for Friday's game against the Golden State Warriors.
Fantasy Impact
Watson has been upgraded to active and will be available to take the court for the Nuggets on Friday. He's not expected to see a large workload in this matchup, however, as the team has cleared Nikola Jokic (ankle) and Aaron Gordon (illness/calf) to make their return to the lineup.
Peyton Watson (knee) has been downgraded to out for Wednesday's game against the San Antonio Spurs.
Fantasy Impact
Watson will be sidelined on Wednesday. He's not the only one, as the Nuggets have also decided to let all of their starters sit out of this matchup. Expect Zeke Nnaji and Jalen Pickett to see more work with Denver set to be extremely shorthanded against the Spurs.
