Rodions Kurucs recalled by the Brooklyn Nets

Rodions Kurucs has been recalled by Brooklyn after playing just one game with their G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets.

Fantasy Impact

Kurucs went down to the G League for just one game, scoring 14 points, before being recalled by Brooklyn. Until Kurucs can establish a meaningful role in Coach Atkinson’s rotation, he is better left on the waiver wire.

Rodions Kurucs assigned to the G League

Rodions Kurucs has been assigned to the Long Island Nets of the G League

Fantasy Impact

Kurucs hasn’t been given much of an opportunity of late with Brooklyn. He will certainly receive more playing time with Long Island, and should remain sharp and focused should Coach Atkinson need to call upon him.

Rodions Kurucs scores season-high 19 points

Rodions Kurucs who’s been averaging 3.5 points for the season, erupts for 19 points to help the Brooklyn Nets snap a seven-game losing streak. Kurucs big game came while filling in for Garrett Temple, who was out due to a knee contusion. The small forward added three rebounds and hit four 3-pointers in the win over the Miami Heat.

Fantasy Impact

Rodions Kurucs will probably head back to the bench once Temple returns from his injury. Even though the small forward is a talented young player, at this point he should only be on your watch list to see if anything develops from this game.

Rodions Kurucs arrested Tuesday

Rodions Kurucs was arrested Tuesday for allegedly choking his then-girlfriend in June.

Fantasy Impact

According to reports, the incident came about after an intense argument that “spiraled out of control.” Kurucs is due back in court October 21, and it’s unclear how this will affect his playing time with the Nets. If he misses time, Taurean Prince may have to step up as the starting power forward, with Wilson Chandler already suspended for the first 25 games on a PED violation.

Rodions Kurucs fails to hit a single three in win

Rodions Kurucs struggled from the field on Tuesday night against the Kings as he finished with just six points while shooting 2-for-9 from the field and 0-for-5 from three. Kurucs did add four rebounds, two steals, and two blocks to his stat line.

Fantasy Impact

Kurucs this game might be an outlier for a guy that has been on fire over his last 10 games as he's shooting 52% from the field and 43% from three. The most impressive part is that he's adding one block and one steal over that run as well.
