Saben Lee has agreed to terms on a two-way contract with the Phoenix Suns.
Lee has been playing under a pair of 10-day contracts for the Suns recently, but he has performed well and earned himself a real contract with the team. His roster spot will come as a result of the team waiving Duane Washington Jr., and Lee likely won't have much of a fantasy impact for the foreseeable future.
According to the NBA Injury Report, Saben Lee assigned to the G League
Despite injuries piling up across the board with Hamidou Diallo and Frank Jackson, the team decided to assign both Luka Garza and Saben Lee to their G League affiliate.
The Detroit Pistons announced they have assigned G Saben Lee to the Motor City Cruise of the G-League.
Lee has appeared in 31 games for the Pistons this season averaging 4.9 points, 2.3 assists and 2.3 rebounds. The Vandy product has shined for the Cruise this season, averaging 24.8 points, 6.7 assists and 4.5 rebounds in 13 games.
The Detroit Pistons have elevated guard Saban Lee to the parent club for Wednesday night's tilt versus the Chicago Bulls.
Detroit comes into Wednesday's game shorthanded in the backcourt -- already ruling out Frank Jackson (back) and facing the potential absence of Killian Hayes (adductor), meaning Lee could see a decent amount of minutes. The 22-year-old guard has played 28 games with the big club this season, averaging 4.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 14.5 minutes per game.
According to Pistons reporter Lauren Williams, Saben Lee has been sent to the G League.
After spending a few days with the injury-riddled parent club, the Pistons sent the young guard back down the G League on Friday. Across 11 appearances with the Motor City Cruise, the 22-year-old is averaging 25.3 points, 7.0 assists and 4.8 rebounds in 37.3 minutes per game.
