All of his minutes and production came in garbage time with the game out of hand heading into the fourth quarter. Blowout wins or losses appear to be the only route to playing time for the 26-year-old shooting guard.

Sindarius Thornwell totaled nine points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3PT, 2-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist, and one block in 19 minutes in the Pelicans' 127-133 loss to the Magic on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

Thornwell was able to see more time on the floor, logging 19 minutes in the loss to the Magic. He will look to build on his contribution and production next season if he is still with the Pelicans.

Sindarius Thornwell totaled seven points (3-5FG, 1-1 3PT), two rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 16 minutes in the Pelicans' 112-106 loss to the Kings on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact

Thornwell logged 16 minutes against the Kings and was able to put together a nice line in the process. He will look to take advantage of his extended time on the floor as the Pelicans' wind down their season. Thornwell, however, does not warrant fantasy consideration and is a natural fade.

Sindarius Thornwell totaled 12 points (3-4 FG, 3-4 3PT, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, and six assists in 20 minutes in the Pelicans’ 119-104 win over the Nuggets on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact

Thornwell was "on" as he shot 75 percent from the floor, beyond the arc, and charity line. He was allotted more time in this scrimmage; as a result, he produced a nice line, building on his performance from against the Nets. Even though he has been able to showcase his ability to fill the stat-sheet and score, his tremendously limited role does not produce enough value to warrant fantasy consideration. He is a natural fade at this time.

Free agent G Sindarius Thornwell has signed with the New Orleans Pelicans as a substitute player for the remainder of the 2019-20 season.

Fantasy Impact

Thornwell most recently played for the NBA G League’s Rio Grande Valley Vipers, where he averaged 9.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.4 steals in 29 minutes per game. The former 2nd-round pick of the Clippers in 2017 has played in 137 career NBA games and now has a chance to show his value as a depth piece for the Pelicans as they head into the bubble in Disney World.
