Ty Jerome has been diagnosed with a high-grade right calf strain and will be re-evaluated in four weeks.
Fantasy Impact
Jerome suffered the injury in the first quarter of the Memphis Grizzlies’ preseason game against the Miami Heat on October 17. With Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe) also sidelined, the Grizzlies will rely heavily on Ja Morant, while Javon Small and Cam Spencer are expected to see an increase in minutes.
Ty Jerome exited Friday's preseason game against the Miami Heat due to a calf injury.
Fantasy Impact
Jerome injured his calf in the first quarter and was unable to return. Memphis Grizzlies head coach Tuomas Iisalo said after the game that Jerome will be further evaluated when the team returns to Memphis. The Grizzlies currently have a thin backcourt with Ja Morant (ankle) and Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe) also dealing with injuries, so fantasy managers should stay up to date with the team's injury report ahead of Wednesday’s contest against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Ty Jerome has agreed to a three-year, $28 million deal with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Fantasy Impact
Jerome exploded onto the scene in the regular season last year before struggling a bit more in the playoffs. He should add depth at point guard for the Grizzlies behind Ja Morant. He will be a very solid streamer for fantasy managers in any game where he starts.
Ty Jerome (knee) will be sidelined for Sunday's game against the Indiana Pacers.
Fantasy Impact
The team is currently managing Jerome's knee injury right now and will let him sit out for a second-straight game on Sunday because of it. Expect Craig Porter Jr. to see a lot of work in this matchup with Cleveland set to be without several key guards.
Ty Jerome (knee) won't play in Friday's game against the New York Knicks.
Fantasy Impact
A knee injury will leave Jerome sidelined on Friday. It's not thought to be a serious issue, and his absence likely has more to do with the fact that this is a meaningless game than anything else. Craig Porter Jr. will see more work while he's out of the lineup.
