Tyrese Haliburton is progressing well in his rehab after tearing his Achilles in Game 7 of last year's NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The star point guard is back on the court and participating in 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 full-court scrimmages with the Pacers.
Fantasy Impact
While still out for the entire 2025-26 season, getting Haliburton back on the court during his rehab is exciting news. The two-time All-Star and two-time All-NBA Third Team selection averaged 18.6 points and 9.2 assists for Indiana in 2024-25 then went on to post 17.3 points and 8.6 assists during the Pacers' run to the finals. While we won't see Haliburton in a game until next fall, his progress bodes well for his availability in training camp and for a bounce-back 2026-27 season in Indiana. The Pacers are currently tied for the third-worst record in the NBA at 12-36.
Indiana Pacers president of basketball operations Kevin Pritchard confirmed Tyrese Haliburton is out for the 2025-26 season.

Haliburton suffered a torn Achilles in Game 7 of the NBA Finals against the Thunder on June 22 and underwent surgery the following day. Although there was initial hope for a late-season return in 2025-26, Pritchard has confirmed that Haliburton will miss the entire season. The Pacers will look to Andrew Nembhard, Bennedict Mathurin and Aaron Nesmith to step up, with Pascal Siakam expected to lead the way.

Given the timeline of the injury, it’s highly likely he will miss all of the 2025-2026 NBA season, and will have his eyes set on the 2026-27 season. The Pacers will have to dig deep to replace him this year, a tall task for sure.

As if there was any doubt that Haliburton would miss Sunday's game. He did say he is a little sore from Game 6. "Good thing I only had to play like 23 minutes," he said. "I've been able to get even more treatment and do more things. Just trying to take care of it the best I can... But I'll be ready to go for Game 7."
