Walter "Eddy" Tavares has been waived by the Cavaliers on Wednesday. It looks like the Cavaliers could keep veteran Kendrick Perkins on the 15-man roster.

In a 104-83 preseason win over Memphis, Walter Tavares had 15 points (7-for-8 from the field and 1-for-2 from the line), 10 rebounds, one assist and one block in 21 minutes of action.

It was a solid performance from Tavares, but he's still likely to play a small part in Atlanta's game plan in the regular season. He might be a viable option to go with in deep leagues in the near future, but it's still too soon to tell whether or not he will be one.

Walter Tavares showcased his block potential in the D-League this season with a league-high 3.3 blocks per game. With Al Horford potentially leaving in free agency, Tavares is a guy to keep an eye on during Summer League.
