Cody Bellinger was scratched earlier this week and is not in the lineup today due to “side discomfort”, however, Ken Gurnick reported today that it was due to a knot in Bellinger’s back. There were rumblings about the issue occurring after Bellinger’s viral Top Golf video. The reigning MVP is not in the lineup today but is working out in full.

Nathan Eovaldi had a successful bullpen session on Saturday in Detroit. The plan is for Eovaldi to play catch on Sunday, proceeding to another bullpen session on Wednesday.
