Ballard showed he can be an effective back when healthy. The Colts look to move away from their run first system from last season and employ more of a "score first" approach, per Offensive Coordinator Pep Hamilton. That may indicate a move towards a committee in the backfield, with three quality backs. It will warrant monitoring reps as training camp progresses to bring clarity to this murky situation.
