Shaq Evans to have shoulder surgery

Jets rookie receiver Shaq Evans has said that he will be having surgery on his injured shoulder. He announced it over Twitter on Tuesday: "Going under the knife today. Praying for a speedy recovery!" The Jets could decide to put Evans on injured reserve, meaning he'd be out for the season. But they would have to wait until after final roster cuts to avoid having Evans pass through waivers. Fantasy Impact:
Evans wasn't expected to make any waves in fantasy football this year after disappointing in training camp, so him ending up on IR won't likely change much with regards to his fantasy value.
