Dalvin Cook, Latavius Murray to compete for starting job

Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer is suggesting that Latavius Murray and Dalvin Cook will compete for the starting running back job in 2017. "We've got a long way to go before we make any determinations on that," Zimmer said Friday. (Chris Tomasson on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
It appears that the Vikings will hold an open competition for the starting running back job this offseason with either Murray or Cook expected to emerge on top. However, it wouldn't be surprising if Minnesota employed a by committee approach to their ground game with Cook handling early downs and Murray acting as the short yardage/ goal line back.
