Although Christian Hackenberg has garnered praise this offseason from Jets' brass, McCown is still expected to enter the 2017 season as New York's starting quarterback. McCown, 37, is nearing the end of his playing career however and could be used as a bridge until the Jets are eliminated from postseason contention at which they'll likely turn to one of their younger passers.
